BlueShift has two new partners
Pedro Catapirra and Carla Andrade complete the top management team
Pedro Catapirra and Carla Andrade are the two new partners at BlueShift.
Pedro Catapirra has been part of the hotel consulting and operations group since the beginning of the project in 2012, with Campo Real resort’s reopening project, following the developer’s insolvency and the loss of the Westin flag. Pedro has held various roles in units managed by BlueShift, such as the Marriott Praia d’El Rey, where he was Director of Operations, and Quinta das Lágrimas, as Hotel Director. Grande Real Villa Itália, Bairro Alto Hotel, Lapa Palace, and Pestana Palace are some of the hotels Pedro worked at previously.
As Director of Operations, Pedro Catapirra is responsible for coordinating the various properties under management, in coordination with the Directors of units placed with clients and the BlueShift specialist “Achievement Centers”.
On the other hand, Carla Andrade takes on the role of CFO, also coordinating the Finance and Control “Achievement Center”.
Transitioning from the Marriott Praia d’El Rey resort, where she worked closely with BlueShift in the complex turnaround following the insolvency of the Béltico group, Carla Andrade has a twenty-year career in audit and consulting, at Coopers & Lybrand and PWC, in the areas of financial consolidation and reporting, public capital offerings and M&A.
With a degree in Management from ISEG, she also holds postgraduate degrees in Management and Leadership from the Catholic University and in Top Management in Hospitality and Tourism from INDEG-ISCTE.
According to Francisco Nogueira de Sousa, CEO of BlueShift, “having Carla and Pedro on our top team is not a gamble but the natural evolution of two professionals whose competence and work capacity we know up close”. Francisco also emphasizes the logic of the new group of five partners, which also includes Filipe Santiago and Mario Chessa: “we now have a highly complementary management team in their profiles and skills, but with professionals who share a strongly disruptive vision of the industry and the ambition to change the world”.
