Job description:
The Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort. This role reports to the Rooms Department Executive and the Hotel Manager. Main responsibilities include:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards;
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest room supplies;
- Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all assigned areas;
- Collect and dispose of waste properly;
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department;
- Assist in the laundry process, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels;
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment;
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a secure working environment;
- Respond to guest requests for extra amenities or cleaning services in a timely manner;
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to maintain efficiency and high service quality.
Requisites:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is preferred but not required;
- Attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability;
- Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending;
- Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays;
- Basic communication skills in Portuguese (English is a plus).
