Job description:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities, under the supervision of the Hotel Manager. Main responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities;
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical issues as needed;
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and other departments;
  • Monitor and manage maintenance inventory and tools, ensuring proper stock levels;
  • Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance projects;
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies in all maintenance operations;
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance;
  • Support sustainability initiatives by implementing energy-saving and water conservation measures;
  • Assist in emergency response situations, such as power failures, leaks, and other urgent issues;

Requisites:

  • Minimum experience of 3 years in maintenance roles within the hospitality or similar industry;
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance;
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and initiative;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Communicative, adaptable, and customer-service oriented;
  • Flexible with task assignments and working hours, including weekends and on-call shifts;
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to building maintenance;
  • Fluent in Portuguese, with basic knowledge of English preferred.
