Job description:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel facilities, under the supervision of the Hotel Manager. Main responsibilities include:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities;
- Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical issues as needed;
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and other departments;
- Monitor and manage maintenance inventory and tools, ensuring proper stock levels;
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance projects;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies in all maintenance operations;
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance;
- Support sustainability initiatives by implementing energy-saving and water conservation measures;
- Assist in emergency response situations, such as power failures, leaks, and other urgent issues;
Requisites:
- Minimum experience of 3 years in maintenance roles within the hospitality or similar industry;
- Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance;
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently;
- Strong sense of responsibility and initiative;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Communicative, adaptable, and customer-service oriented;
- Flexible with task assignments and working hours, including weekends and on-call shifts;
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to building maintenance;
- Fluent in Portuguese, with basic knowledge of English preferred.
