Pedro Catapirra is the new Director of Operations at Blueshift
The professional returns to the group he helped found
Blueshift has just reinforced its team by hiring Pedro Catapirra as Director of Operations. In this role, Pedro will oversee and coordinate the operational activities of the hotel operator’s projects, including the various pipeline projects in Portugal and Spain. He will also support initiatives in Blueshift’s other business areas – Consulting and Investment.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector, Pedro began his career in Food & Beverage, holding positions at prestigious establishments such as Lapa Palace Hotel, Pestana Palace and Bairro Alto Hotel. At Real Hotels Group, he coordinated F&B operations at Grande Real Villa Itália, later advancing to General Manager of Real Oeiras.
In 2013, Pedro joined Blueshift as F&B Director, leading the reopening of Campo Real Resort following insolvency and the transition from the Westin brand to Dolce Hotels & Resorts under Wyndham. He also served as Operations Director at Praia D’El Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort, playing a critical role in the unit’s restructuring and relaunch amid a challenging insolvency process. During his tenure at Blueshift, Pedro coordinated other properties, including Hotel Quinta das Lágrimas and Sublime Comporta.
After leaving Blueshift in 2021, Pedro became Operations Director at Sublime Hotels and, with Highgate, served as Cluster General Manager for the Lisbon region and General Manager at NAU Palácio do Governador.
